Our Commitment
Molay Solutions CIC operates a targeted outreach program specifically designed to support Migrants, Refugees, and Asylum (MRA) Seekers residing in Colindale, with a strong focus on LGBTQ+ and Trans inclusivity. Our approach is informed by the lived experiences of our Directors, all of whom are members of the LGBTQ+ community. We intimately understand the discrimination faced by MRA individuals fleeing persecution based on sexual orientation or gender identity, as many of us have personally navigated similar challenges.
Our objectives are twofold:
Supporting the Migrant Journey and Bridging the Digital Divide: Our program offers tailored guidance and assistance to MRA individuals, with a particular emphasis on reducing the digital gap and providing clarity throughout the immigration process. We provide translation services in Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi and Spanish to ensure effective communication and understanding.

Enhancing Quality of Life and Integration: We empower MRA individuals by facilitating access to employment opportunities, skill development, healthcare, information, financial services, and social networking. Our goal is to enhance their quality of life and facilitate successful integration into the wider UK LGBTQ+ community.

Over 80% of our current cases involve LGBTQ+ individuals facing persecution based on their sexual orientation or gender identity. We are actively seeking funding to expand our reach and capacity to support this marginalized group further. Despite the specific challenges faced by LGBTQ+ asylum seekers, we recognize that Home Office decisions are often biased and ill-informed, leading to erroneous rejections of LGBTQ+ cases.

Our project goals include increasing the number of decisions provided by the Home Office within a 3 to 6-month timeframe and supporting the successful integration of individuals with the right to remain into the wider UK LGBTQ+ community. In 2023, we directly impacted over 70 MRA individuals, and with the support of funding, we aim to impact 100 to 150 MRA persons in 2024.

Through our targeted outreach program, Molay Solutions CIC is dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ MRA individuals, providing them with essential support and resources to navigate their journey and thrive in their new community.
